Wash it every time
A board does not ask much. It asks to be clean when you start.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is plain about it. Wash boards with hot, soapy water after each use.
Then rinse with clear water. Let it air dry, or pat it dry with a clean paper towel.
That is the routine.
Our care plan covers what comes after: the water test, and when to oil.
